Etzim Week 3 Recap

Etzim had an amazing week! We welcomed new chaverim (friends) joining us this session on Monday, and it’s been wonderful watching them settle right into Etzim. In z’man migvan (small group time), our chanichim (campers) got to enjoy teva (nature walk), lawn games, and chetz v’keshet (archery), trying out a little bit of everything with their groups.

Chanichim practiced their tefillah skills all week! On Friday, we had special Shabbat alternative tefillot, with four groups. The first group did art for Modeh Ani, drawing what they are thankful for. The second group did a running contest for Shema, the third group did soccer for Amidah for Magen Avraham, defending the goal, and the fourth group built tents for Mah Tovu.

The week’s big highlight was our field trip to the Baltimore Museum of Industry, where campers got hands on and built their own roller coasters and cars, showing off some serious creativity and problem solving along the way.

Swim was another bright spot, with many of our chanichim moving up a level this week, a testament to their hard work and growing confidence in the pool. A few campers even earned meah milim (hundred words) awards for using their Hebrew around camp, which was so fun to celebrate!

It was incredible meeting so many families at Mishpacha B’Ramah (family night) this week, and getting to share our favorite camp activities with them. We can’t wait to meet more Mishpachot next week.

We’re so proud of Etzim and can’t wait to see what next week brings!
