Shorashim Week 5 Recap
It’s been an exciting week in Shorashim! During chuggim (choice activities), our chanichim (campers) got to try their hand at track and field, mosaics and Israeli cricut in Omanut, Har Ramah (our climbing wall), chetz v’keshet (archery), and even a visit to the chavah (farm). There was so much variety to explore, and every camper found something that lit them up.
In z’man migvan (small group time), Shorashim kept the energy going with sports, teva (nature), bishul (cooking), and more time on Har Ramah. It was also a great chance to get to know our new chanichim, with plenty of fun games and icebreakers to help everyone feel right at home in the group.
We also took time this week to mark Tisha B’Av in a meaningful way, using the movie Inside Out as a jumping off point for talking about emotions together. It was a thoughtful and reflective moment for the group amid all the excitement of camp.
We can’t wait to see what next week brings for Shorashim!
