Nitzanim Week 1 Recap

Nitzanim is off to a fantastic start! The week kicked off with some fun ice breakers. Chanichim (campers) played “The Wind Blows” and shared interesting facts about each other, and the name game helped everyone get even more comfortable with one another.

Tuesday’s rain threw a curveball, but the chanichim rose to the occasion in the best way, going with the flow and keeping each other entertained with warmth and good humor. By Wednesday, the sun was back! Morning swim has been a refreshing and much-loved part of the day, cooling everyone off before they head into z’man migvan (small group time). So far the group has explored Chavah (farm), Rikud (dance), and Bishul (cooking), including whipping up their very own yummy trail mix.

The week wrapped up in truly out-of-this-world fashion with Yom Galaxy. Chanichim got to channel their inner scientists at the cosmic creation lab during ma’dah (science) and bounced their hearts out at the Moonbounce. What a way to close out the week! We can’t wait for what’s ahead – especially next week’s late night!
