RDC Chugim Week 3
Omanut (Art)
This week in omanut (art) we created soothing spa potions in decorated containers, honed our weaving and sewing skills to make beautiful bags, and created portraits using drawing, photography, and even pasta as our medium. We also got creative with mixed media sculptures of bugs and flowers, bringing lots of imagination to every project. We were so excited to welcome some of our families for the Mishpacha B’Ramah (family night) event, where campers made Shabbat candles to take home and light together. We look forward to meeting more families next week!

Sport
This week at camp, chanichim got the amazing opportunity to try new sports! Volleyball and kickball made their first appearance this summer while classics like Har Ramah, cheer, Chetz V’Keshet (archery), flag football, and gaga made their return. This week, we also welcomed families to join in on the fun during our first Mishpacha B’Ramah of the kayitz.

Madah (Science) & Handassah (Engineering)
In the Maadah chug this week, we are doing STEM building challenges, which consists of using various materials to build structures. We built Lego bridges that can support the weight of multiple rocks, or a tower made out of blocks that can survive an “earthquake” (the table shaking). In Inventors Workshop, chanichim found recycled materials across camp to build their own unique structure, that they sketched themselves!
