RDC Chugim Week 7

Omanut:

For this last week in Omanut, we played Whatchamadrawit in Z’man Migvan. In chugim, as always, we had a wide range of activities. Painting chug painted still life compositions and landscapes. In sculpture, chanichim built their own telescopes and sculpted their dream pets (with houses!). We put the finishing touches on our collaborative mosaic, and everyone went wild for beading. Other activities included pasta pictures, Hawaiian lei making, and plenty of lanyard. We hope that everyone has enjoyed Omanut this summer as much as we have enjoyed leading it!

Sport:

Our Sport chugim were full of energy this week! Chanichim enjoyed classic favorites like gaga and lawn games, took aim during chetz v’keshet (archery), and even got to learn basketball vocabulary in Hebrew. Tennis baseball brought out plenty of friendly competition, while Har Ramah challenged campers to climb to new heights. In Cheer, campers practiced cartwheels and roundoffs, and Sports Around the World gave chanichim the chance to try games from different countries. It has been so fun to watch their teamwork and enthusiasm grow with every activity!

Ma’dah:

In Escape Room and Puzzles, challenges tested chanichims problem solving skills. In Best of Ma’dah, chanichim had fun with experiments like edible weather and the always exciting elephant toothpaste.

Bishul:

Bishul B’Chutz (outdoor bishul), chanichim made delicious creations like homemade calzones, salad in a bag, and of course s’mores around the fire. In indoor bishul, campers dove into a full baking week, learning new skills and creating yummy treats.

Shira:

With Miriam, chanichim got to explore their creative side through Music Production and Song Writing. In Theater, chanichim put on a musical production!

Camp Newspaper:

Our Camp Newspaper chug has been hard at work capturing the spirit of the kayitz! Chanichim went around machaneh (camp) interviewing friends and staff about their favorite highlights so far, along with their excitement about moving up to a new site next summer.
