Three children smile and pose together outdoors on a sunny day, with other kids and greenery in the background. They look happy and are enjoying time at what appears to be a camp or park.

Aftercare

Ramah Day Camp works with community partners to offer reliable aftercare options throughout the Greater DC area.  Campers registered for aftercare will ride a Ramah bus with our staff to the aftercare site.  Upon arrival, Ramah Day Camp madrichim will escort campers to their aftercare staff.

Aftercare with MoEd

In 2026, we will once again partner with MoEd.  MoEd, an independently-operated provider, runs a camp program through early August at Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase, MD and will care for Ramah campers for the final hours of the day.*  More details about MoEd are below.

Parents planning to use MoEd for aftercare should designate their interest in the Travel and Aftercare Selection form, a form available in the spring through our CampMinder online system. An additional brief but separate registration form is required by MoEd.  In 2026, the weekly aftercare fee is $100 per camper and should be paid directly to MoEd.  For questions or details, please contact their administrator Shiran.

If you are aware of another partner agency in the Greater DC area who might be interested in working with Ramah to offer an additional aftercare option, please contact Sharon Rosenberg Safra, Associate Director.

(*In 2026, MoEd will offer aftercare all 7 weeks of camp.  In previous years, MoEd was not open the final week of camp.  Dates for Kayitz 2027 have not been finalized at this time.)
