Prior to COVID, aftercare was available at two locations until 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. In Rockville, aftercare was run by Ramah Day Camp staff. At Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase, MD, aftercare was provided by MoEd, a partner of Ramah Day Camp. MoEd offers weekly camp programs during most of the summer and will accommodate Ramah campers for the final hours of the day. (In 2021, due to COVID cohort protocols, we were not able to offer aftercare.)
We hope Ramah Day Camp will be able to offer aftercare during Kayitz 2022. Aftercare offerings are always dependent on sufficient interest and staffing, and will be offered only if COVID-specific health guidelines allow. Registration for aftercare is done through the Travel and Aftercare Selection form, available through our CampMinder online system in the spring. A brief but separate registration form is often required for campers participating in aftercare.
MoEd, which began in 2012, has become a premier after-school program that introduces participants to Hebrew language and Jewish content in a safe and warm environment. Like Ramah Day Camp they are licensed by the State of Maryland and are equally committed to top level safety, security and professionalism.
