The camp day begins and ends at the bus stop. Our counselors have planned programs, games, songs, and cheers to make the bus ride an extension of Camp Ramah itself. Ramah Day Camp provides safe, efficient, and reliable transportation throughout most of the Greater Washington, DC area. Our bus drivers and bus counselors are committed to ensuring a safe, fun and pleasant ride for your campers.
Generally, our morning pick up times are between 8:00 and 8:30 am. Children arrive home in the afternoon between 4:30 and 5:00 pm. We will communicate with you if there are significant changes in our timing due to weather or traffic conditions. We are committed to developing the most efficient transportation routes each summer to best serve our community.
Our current bus stops include:
- DC – 22nd/23rd between M & N (Dupont Circle / Foggy Bottom area)
- DC – 34th & Ordway (Adas Israel area)
- Ohr Kodesh Congregation (Chevy Chase)
- Congregation Beth El (Bethesda)
- Spring Mill Field Office (Kemp Mill)
- B’nai Israel Congregation (Rockville)

Parents may also choose to drive directly to camp for 9:00 am drop-off and 4:00 pm pickup.
Aftercare is available at Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase until 6:00pm daily. New in 2017, aftercare is provided by MoEd Afterschool Hebrew Immersion Program, a partner of Ramah Day Camp.
MoEd offers weekly camp programs during most of the summer and will accommodate Ramah campers for the final hours of the day. The Ramah bus will continue to shuttle campers to Ohr Kodesh at approximately 4:45pm, where the MoEd program will operate until 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
Registration for aftercare will take place through MoEd.
MoEd, which began in 2012, has become a premier after-school program that introduces participants to Hebrew language and Jewish content in a safe and warm environment. Like Ramah Day Camp they are licensed by the State of Maryland and are equally committed to top level safety, security and professionalism.
