Transportation

Carpool

Camper drop-off will run from 8:40 – 8:50 a.m. Camper pick-up will take place from 4:10 – 4:20 p.m.

Bus

Our counselors have planned games, songs, and cheers to make the bus ride an extension of Camp Ramah itself. Ramah Day Camp provides safe, efficient, and reliable transportation throughout most of the Greater Washington, DC area. Our bus drivers and bus counselors are committed to ensuring a safe, fun and pleasant ride for your campers.

Buses arrive at camp at 8:55 am and depart camp at 4:05 pm.  If there are significant changes in our timing due to weather or traffic conditions, families will be notified by text (which each family must enable). We are committed to developing the most efficient transportation routes each summer to best serve our community.

In 2026, our bus stops picked up in the following towns/neighborhoods:

  • Petworth, DC
  • Takoma, DC
  • Tenleytown, DC
  • Aspen Hill-Rockville, MD
  • Bethesda, MD (2 locations)
  • Chevy Chase, MD
  • Gaithersburg-North Potomac, MD
  • Kemp Mill-Silver Spring, MD
  • North Bethesda-Rockville, MD
  • Potomac, MD
  • Arlington, VA

The location of our bus stops each summer are dependent on sufficient enrollment and staffing.  Some bus stops may be available on select weeks.  Typically, bus routes for the upcoming summer are determined in the late winter and announced by the first week of April.  Families of enrolled campers are asked to complete an online camp form due in early May to signify how their child(ren) will be traveling to camp.
