2026 DATES & INFORMATION
The Kayitz (summer) 2026 season will open on Monday, June 22 and close on Friday, August 7.
In 2026, the Classic Ramah Day Camp program will run for three two-week sessions and a final one-week session. (Session dates appear in the table below.) Families may register their child(ren) for a single session or any combination of sessions. Of course, we love when families take advantage of our full summer discount and enroll their child(ren) for all 7 weeks! This program is open to current Pre-K (PK4) through 4th grade students.
Our Sha’ar Hebrew Immersion Program, however, is a seven-week program for campers currently in Pre-K (PK4) through 1st grade since consistency is the foundation of an immersion experience. More information about the Sha’ar Hebrew immersion program can be found here.
The BIG IDEA at Ramah Day Camp, our technology-based program track, will be offered once again and is available to all ages this summer! More information on the BIG IDEA program can be found here. Three 2-week sessions are available to different age ranges. Campers may attend one or more BIG IDEA sessions (where age-applicable):
- Session A (June 22-July 2) is open to 1st – 6th graders,
- Session B (July 6-17) and Session C (July 20-31) is open to Pre-K (PK4) and Kindergarteners, and 3rd-6th graders.
Bus transportation from centralized locations in the area is included in camp fees. We will again offer an early bird discount to those who register their child(ren) by Monday, December 1. Please contact us if you have any questions about your summer plans.
Registration & Waitlist
Registration for 2026 opened in early November. We currently have a waitlist for many age groups in most of our sessions and program tracks. Please know that we understand how frustrating this is, and it is difficult for us to turn anyone away. We do anticipate some movement after our January 15 cancellation deadline. While we can never guarantee that a spot will become available, we will do everything possible to welcome as many families as we can into the Ramah community this summer. If your preferred session has a waitlist, our system will indicate that when you register. We encourage you to complete the application and add your child to our waitlist. No deposit will be charged for waitlisted sessions, and you will not be enrolled or charged before we speak to about an available spot. Feel free to contact our Registrar Zach Krausman with questions.

A Note to Federal Government Workers & Contractors
We know that this fall’s government shutdown and prior federal workforce reductions have affected many families in our Ramah community. We understand this is a very difficult time and want you to know that you are not alone. Our camp community stands together not just in the summer, but all year long. If your family has been impacted, please know that we want to support you however we can. Please be in touch with Sharon if you need a reduction in your registration deposit or if we can offer support in other ways. (Deposit adjustments should be communicated PRIOR to the completion of your child’s application.) In addition, we want to make sure you about the existing JCaring community resources at JSSA.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available, and we do all that we can to make it possible for everyone to experience a summer at Ramah. Applications for financial aid will be accessible in your CampMinder account (in the “Forms & Documents” portal) after your camper application has been processed by our office. The deadline for financial aid applications is Thursday, February 12, 2026. If you have questions about the financial aid process, please contact Sharon Rosenberg Safra, Associate Director.
Registration Deposit, Fees & Payment Plans
A deposit of $100 per week per camper is required with each application. (Please contact us if you need a reduced deposit charge.) In the application, you will be asked if you prefer to set up a payment plan or to pay in full.
Regardless of when you apply, camp families are required to pay 50% of their tuition fees by March 15. Full payment is due by May 15 (for families not on a payment plan).
Cancellation Policy
We know that plans change. We also need to plan in order to serve all of our campers. Unfortunately that means we have to have a cancellation policy. We must have notification in writing if you need to withdraw your child before the start of camp. Below is our schedule of tuition refunds and fees.
PLEASE NOTE: Families will now be charged a $50 administrative fee to withdraw completely prior to January 15th.
| Cancellation Date | Cancellation Fee |
|---|---|
| On or before January 15 | $50 administrative fee for withdrawing completely; No penalty for modifying registration |
| January 16 - March 15 | 15% of tuition of any cancelled session |

| After May 15 | No refund available |
